How does Eagle's Nest make the
Rider's Edge New Rider Course Different?

The idea behind Harley-Davidson’s Rider’s Edge New Rider Course is simple:
We want to enable non-riders to experience motorcycling while learning basic skills in a way that’s fun and involving.
The New Rider Course uses the proven curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s (MSF) Basic RiderCourse, with a twist provided by the enthusiasts at Harley-Davidson.
The Rider’s Edge New Rider Course California premier program is for those who desire more riding time and classroom lessons that get your ‘motors running’.
We have added two additional classroom modules: Riding Straight and Group Riding.
Additional range time is built in that allows for remedial training and more riding time for the students.
Two additional range exercises have been added that assist students in further developing their cornering skills in a safe riding environment.
Several adult learning activities have been added that engage students to think beyond the classroom topics.
We use the 492cc Buell Blast for our trianing. The Blast is a mid-weight street bike that’s easy-to-handle and it comes with course-friendly features, such as two seat heights, hidden muffler, and a low center of gravity.
